Charles Wild
Business Manager - North America
Charles Wild officially joined the Miles Platts team in August 2023, however he has been working alongside our sales team for over 10 years with our US distributor and was key in the development of our AMCC bobbin range. Charles graduated from the University of Rochester in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and has since gone on to design and engineer transformers including 50/60 Hz control transformers, Split Core Current Transformers, Audio Transformers, Water cooled resistance welding transformers.
With over 30 years of coil-winding industry experience working in design, engineering and sales as well as over 10 years already working alongside Miles Platts, Charles is the perfect addition to the Miles Platts’ team. Charles will be responsible for our North American operations and will focus on the acquisition and development of new custom design component projects.
Charles is an active member of the Transformer Association, the PSMA Magnetic Committee, IEEE and other professional industry organisations. He is currently assisting the Transformer Association in a Certified Magnetics Designer program, where he has brought in experts (including Miles Platts) to speak on the benefits of using their materials and designs.
