IDC Terminal Pockets

Insulation displacement connection pockets or IDC pockets are a common industry solution for when a customer needs an alternative termination method. IDC pockets are highly reliable and remove the need for solder joints due to the variety of styles available.

Here at Miles Platts, we have been designing and manufacturing coil bobbins and electro-technical components with IDC pockets since the 1980s. With over 40 years of IDC design, we have perfected this feature to ensure the long-term success of the connection the strength, dimensional accuracy of the terminal pocket and the polymer's resistance to creep is critical.
